Do You Regularly Encounter Used Medical Equipment?
If your team regularly comes across usable hospital beds, lift chairs, wheelchairs, patient lifts, or mobility equipment that a customer no longer wants, contact Everlift before disposing of it.
Who this is for
If your work puts you inside homes when life changes — a move, a cleanout, the end of care — you've probably stood in a room with a hospital bed and wondered where it should go.
Junk removal & estate cleanouts
Beds and lift chairs are some of the heaviest, bulkiest items in a cleanout — and often still work.
Estate sale companies
Medical equipment can be slow to sell at an estate sale. We can review what's left once the sale wraps up.
Senior move managers
When a client downsizes into assisted living, the bed and lift often don't make the move.
Assisted living & senior communities
When a resident moves out or passes away, families are often left asking what to do with the equipment.
Home care & hospice teams
You're in homes when care ends. Families ask you what to do with equipment they bought themselves.
Property managers
Equipment left behind in a unit after a tenant moves out needs to go somewhere.
What working with us looks like
Equipment we accept doesn't go on your truck, into your dumpster, or toward your landfill fees.
When we pick up, our team handles disassembly and carry-out of the items we accept.
When a family asks, "Isn't there somewhere this can go?" you have one.
Accepted equipment is inspected, cleaned, and refurbished so it can help another local patient.
To be clear about what this isn't: we don't pay referral fees or offer compensation for partner referrals, and we can't promise to take every item. We review each piece the same way we would for a homeowner, and we'll give you a straight answer.
How it works on a job
- 1Check with the customer
Make sure the equipment is theirs — not a rental from Medicare, insurance, hospice, or another supplier — and that they'd like it to go to Everlift.
- 2Send us photos
Send photos of the whole item, the controls, and the label. A quick note on location in the home helps.
- 3We review it
We let you know whether it qualifies and whether we may be able to coordinate pickup around your timeline.
- 4Set it aside or we pick up
If it's accepted, we arrange the pickup with you or the customer directly.

Become an equipment pickup partner
Tell us a little about your business and the kind of equipment you run into. We'll reach out to introduce ourselves and figure out the easiest way for your team to send us photos when something comes up.
We work across Metro Detroit — whether your crews are mostly in Sterling Heights and Clinton Township or out toward Northville and South Lyon.
Please note: Everlift Mobility is a for-profit company, not a charitable organization. Equipment provided to Everlift is not a tax-deductible charitable donation.
Partner FAQ
Do you pay referral fees?
Not at this time. We're not offering referral payments or any other compensation for partner referrals right now. The benefit is practical: a place to send usable equipment instead of hauling it to the dump yourself.
What condition does equipment need to be in?
Working, or close to it, and clean enough to sanitize and refurbish. We can't take equipment with bodily fluid contamination, mold, pests, severe rust, broken frames, or cut power cords. Photos sent ahead of time let us tell you quickly whether something is worth setting aside.
Can you meet us at a cleanout or move?
Sometimes. If you let us know about a job ahead of time and send photos, we'll tell you whether the equipment qualifies and whether we can coordinate a pickup that works with your schedule. We can't promise a specific arrival time, so it helps to reach out early.
Who decides whether the customer's equipment goes to Everlift?
Your customer, always. The equipment is theirs. If they'd like it to go to Everlift, we work with you and them to review it. Equipment that's rented from Medicare, insurance, hospice, or another supplier belongs to that supplier and needs to go back to them.
What areas do you cover?
Metro Detroit — Detroit and communities across Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties. If a job is a bit outside that, send the details and we'll tell you whether we can make it work.
