Why Everlift wants your used equipment
Everlift Mobility rents hospital beds, lift chairs, patient lifts, wheelchairs, and scooters to families across Metro Detroit. Good used equipment, properly inspected and refurbished, goes right back to work helping the next patient come home from the hospital.
Everlift Mobility may accept qualifying used medical equipment at no cost to the owner. Some higher-value equipment may also qualify for a cash offer.
We're upfront about how this works: we're a for-profit rental company, we only accept equipment we can safely put back into service, and we'll tell you plainly if something isn't a fit — so you can move on to another option without waiting around.
Please note: Everlift Mobility is a for-profit company, not a charitable organization. Equipment provided to Everlift is not a tax-deductible charitable donation.

Send us your equipment details
The more we can see, the faster we can give you a real answer. Good photos of the whole item, the controls, and the brand label usually get you a decision without a follow-up call.
We pick up from homes, garages, and facilities across Detroit and Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties — from Clarkston and Lake Orion down to Livonia and Novi, and east to Sterling Heights and Clinton Township.
Submitting doesn't commit you to anything, and it doesn't guarantee acceptance, pickup, or an offer.

Used medical equipment FAQ
Where can I donate medical equipment near me?
In Metro Detroit, the usual options are medical equipment loan closets, charities and nonprofits, veterans organizations, churches, senior centers, and equipment reuse programs. Most need you to call first, and many need you to drop items off. If your priority is getting usable equipment out of the house without hauling it yourself, Everlift Mobility may be able to pick it up — but Everlift is a for-profit company, not a charity, so it isn't a charitable donation.
Where can I donate a hospital bed?
Loan closets, churches, and some nonprofits accept hospital beds, but many can't pick up or don't have room for them — beds are heavy and bulky. Call ahead and ask whether they take beds and whether they pick up. Everlift can review photos of your bed and let you know whether we can remove it from your home, at no cost for qualifying beds.
Who buys used medical equipment near me?
Equipment rental companies, medical equipment resellers, and private buyers on marketplace sites. Everlift Mobility reviews equipment from Detroit, Oakland County, Macomb County, and Wayne County homes and makes cash offers on certain newer, higher-value, or in-demand items. We don't publish fixed prices — every offer depends on the specific equipment.
Will you buy my hospital bed?
Possibly. Full-electric beds in good working condition are among the items most likely to qualify for a cash offer. Older or semi-electric beds more often qualify for free pickup instead. Send photos of the bed, controller, and motor and we'll tell you which.
Do you offer free medical equipment pickup?
For qualifying equipment, yes. Free pickup isn't guaranteed — it depends on the equipment type, condition, current demand, your location, cleanliness, and how difficult removal will be. Send photos and we'll let you know.
Will you remove a hospital bed from my home?
If the bed qualifies, yes — we handle disassembly and carry it out. Send photos first so we can confirm it's something we can accept.
Do you take lift chairs?
Yes, case by case. Lift chairs are upholstered, so condition, odor, and pet or smoke exposure matter a lot. Newer chairs from smoke-free homes with working lift and recline are the most likely to be accepted.
Do you take Hoyer lifts?
Yes. Hydraulic and electric patient lifts are a category we actively look for. Include photos of the battery and charger (electric) or the pump (hydraulic), and the sling if you have it.
Do you buy power wheelchairs?
Power wheelchairs are a priority category for cash offers, especially newer models whose batteries still hold a charge. Include the charger and a photo of the joystick and batteries.
Do you take mobility scooters?
Yes. Scooters that drive, with the key and charger, may qualify for a cash offer. Scooters with dead batteries may still qualify for free pickup depending on the model.
Can I donate equipment to Everlift?
Everlift may accept qualifying used medical equipment at no cost to the owner. Everlift Mobility is a for-profit company and is not a charitable organization.
Is equipment given to Everlift tax deductible?
No. Equipment provided to Everlift should not be treated as a tax-deductible charitable donation. If a tax deduction matters to you, give the equipment to a qualified charitable organization instead.
What happens to equipment after pickup?
Accepted equipment is inspected, cleaned, and refurbished or repaired as needed. From there it may be rented to local patients, resold, used for parts, or recycled — whatever puts it back into service safely.
Do I need to disassemble my hospital bed?
No. Our team handles disassembly. Just let us know in the form whether the bed is assembled and where it is in the home.
Can you remove equipment from a basement?
Often, yes. Tell us where the equipment is and whether stairs are involved. Very heavy items on stairs may affect whether we can accept them, so photos of the path out are helpful.
How quickly can pickup happen?
We review submissions quickly and contact you with the next step. Once equipment is accepted, we coordinate a pickup time directly with you. Pickup timing depends on our route schedule and where you are in Metro Detroit.
Where can I donate medical supplies near me?
Unopened, unexpired supplies are best given to a medical loan closet, a nonprofit supply recovery program, or a local clinic that accepts them — call first. Everlift does not accept used disposable supplies, open sterile supplies, or medications. We focus on durable equipment like beds, lifts, wheelchairs, and scooters.
What areas do you pick up from?
Metro Detroit — Detroit and communities across Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties — roughly from Clarkston and Lake Orion down to Livonia, and east to Clinton Township. If you're outside that area, send the details anyway and we'll tell you whether we can make it work.
